Akyno Apps built the Who Owes Me – OweList app as a simple IOU tracker to help you keep track of money owed, borrowed money, and personal debts. This Service is provided by Akyno Apps at no cost and is intended for use as is.

Overview

• Your data stays on your device. All IOU records, debt entries, repayment history, and notes are stored locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or have access to this data.
• No account is required. The app works offline for all core features.
• We do not collect personal information such as name, email, phone, or address.
• We do not collect the names of people you track, amounts owed, or any financial details you enter—those remain only on your device.
• The app does not display advertisements.

Information We Collect

We may collect non-identifiable information for app functionality, analytics, and diagnostics only:

• Device ID (for app functionality and analytics).
• App usage events and interactions such as screens visited and features used.
• Usability and behavior data (e.g., through Microsoft Clarity) such as navigation patterns and interaction flows in aggregate, to improve usability, performance, and the overall experience.
• Crash and error reports and general diagnostics like performance metrics.
• Basic device information such as model, OS version, language, and timezone.
• Subscription and purchase data (e.g., through RevenueCat) to manage in-app subscriptions and entitlements; payment is processed by Apple.

We do not collect precise geolocation. We do not collect any of the debt, IOU, or repayment data you enter in the app. We do not combine the above with data that directly identifies you.

How We Use Information

We use the information above to improve usability, measure performance, fix issues, and make informed product decisions to improve the Service continuously.

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
• Monitor performance, fix bugs, and enhance stability.
• Understand feature usage and usability to guide product decisions.

Third Party Services

We use third party services that may process the data described above, including for subscriptions and payments. Please review their policies:

• Microsoft Clarity (usability and behavior analytics to improve the app)
• RevenueCat (subscription and in-app purchase management)

Data Sharing and Sale

We do not sell your personal information. Your IOU and debt data never leaves your device. We may share non-identifiable analytics and diagnostics, and subscription-related data where needed, with the service providers listed above. These providers are obligated to use the data only to provide their services to us. Payment for subscriptions is processed by Apple.

Cookies

The app itself does not use cookies. Third party SDKs may use technologies similar to cookies to provide analytics.

Your Choices

• Data Deletion - All your IOU and debt data is stored on your device. You can delete everything by uninstalling the app or clearing the app data through your device settings.

Data Retention

All IOU records, balances, and repayment history stay on your device until you delete the app or clear the app data. We do not retain this data. Analytics and diagnostics retained by our providers follow their own retention schedules as described in their privacy policies.

Security

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Your debt and IOU data is stored only on your device under your control.

Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

The Service may contain links to external sites (for example, Terms of Use). We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites.
